Trip Report - Mosquito Creek 4 Years, 8 Months ago
A mass invasion of ACCers went in the direction of the Icefield Parkway Dec 14-15. A group of 14 headed to the David Thompson highway (Edmonton Section) and 14 from the Calgary Section went to Mosquito Creek. As a side note, HI hostels are about $20 a night and do not require a wilderness pass or HI membership, about half the cost of an ACC hut which does require a wilderness pass.

Guinness Gully, Wet Dream (x2), Finishing Hammer Gully, Elliot Left Hand and Bison falls were climbed by the Calgary Section. All were reported in pretty good shape. Guinness Gully was report in excellent shape, but very busy.

Snow is about 40 cm of sugar, but is forming slab like pockets in the alpine. Trail breaking is relatively easy with the odd awkward fall into giant, snow filled holes. Lots of people out skiing, not sure why.

An absurd amount of food was cooked for dinner on Saturday night, my mistake. However, I saved the extra and will recycle it at the pot-luck. To keep things interesting, I'm not going to disclose what the recycled food is. Good luck
