Beauty Creek Trip Report 5 Years, 8 Months ago
Twelve ACCers made the long trek to Beauty Creek for the weekend of December 8-9, and twelve made it back. Success!

Beauty Creek hostel is a nice place to stay in winter when compared to other back-country huts (it is advertised as closed, but you can just get the key code from Hi Hostel). It is also really cheap at $20 per person if you book ten or more spots. The stay is pretty similar to Bow hut and $17 dollars cheaper.

Many ice climbs were in, some in better shape than others. Below is a summary of what was climbed or checked out.
-Midnight Rambler: Missing a bolt and single existing bolt is rusty, top pitch is in thin shape. Recommendation is not to top out as there is nothing for an anchor once you pull the top lip except one rusty bolt.
-Melt Out: Great shape
-Shades of Beauty: Great Shape
-Stanely Senior: Looked good (bottom 2/3 climbed), top a little grey
-Tangle falls: Lots to climb
-Panther falls: still liquid
-Bridal Viel Falls: Ice, but not enticing enough for anyone to want to climb it
-Snivelling Gully: First pitch was too thin for stubies, but most of the weeping wall looked in.
